Hi Everyone

We've just returned from 2 weeks at the Idilli Villas on Lefkada - fabulous! We had a standard 2 bedrooms with private pool. The villas are laid out so that privacy is at a premium with lots of mature trees adding to that privacy as well as providing some beautifully cool shaded areas. The sunset views were spectacular and we even had a magnificent lightening display one evening (far too many photos!). We often had real problems deciding which of the seating areas to use - tough decisions! Villas and grounds are maintained by Dan and Carmen who seem to have a sixth sense for the best time to nip in and clean. Everything in the villas is high standard, very comfy beds and beautiful bed linen with a cool and elegant living area. Lefkada surpassed my expectations - the scenery was very dramatic particularly on the west coast. Our car enabled us to explore the mountains and mountain villages which felt like entering a different world. It was also a welcome change to visit an island which seems to be more intrinsically Greek, there were very few British visitors anywhere we went. Aghios Nikitas itself is bustling with life but, again, it felt like a Greek village rather than a suburb of the UK - plenty of Greek music and noise! There is a sense of community there and it doesn't take long before people start to greet you as you walk through the village. Food is geared towards Greek cuisine and I had the best lamb I've ever tasted (yum). So I would recommend the Idilli Villas wholeheartedly and Lefkada is an island not to be missed.

We returned from our holiday in Skopelos last weekend and wanted to let you know that our villa, "Olivia's House" was the most perfect accomodation we have ever stayed in. 

The owner, Spiros Englessos and his wife obviously put a great deal of care into making the house comfortable and homely and were very kind and welcoming. 

Your rep. on the island, Cherry, was great (what a character!) and very helpful.  All the transfers organised by you went smoothly, despite flight delays.

Villa Stafylos , Skopelos

We spent last week at Villa Stafylos on Skopelos and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our week. Villa Staylos is a delightful little house, extremely comfortable and well appointed. All the basics such as hot water, bathroom, air con, kitchen equipment, beds, lighting, seating, wardrobe space and windows are of excellent quality. The area around the villa is quiet and secluded although it is only a 10 minute walk along the track to several tavernas, the nearest one (immediately across the road at the end of the lane) run by friendly owners serving delicious food. As the villa is quite remote we would recommend car hire. We would highly recommend this villa.

Villa Meropi , Skopelos

We travelled on a week's holiday to Skopelos with Spirit of Greece. It was probably one of the most relaxing holidays we've ever had thanks to the efficient organisation and truly superb quality of accommodation. The villa was quiet and secluded with stunning views of the town yet very accessible to the lively bars and excellent restaurants of Skopelos. There is a beautiful private pool at the villa where we could relax and unwind after a hard days' sunbathing at one of Skopelos' many gorgeous beaches. The villa has stuning views of Skopelos town, and is set in an orchard of olive trees, which whisper on the breeze - the perfect backdrop to the perfect holiday. We're just looking forward to booking it next year!

Michaela Beach Houses, Lesvos

Sorry to take so long to reply but I just wanted to say that my husband and I had a lovely week in Lesvos earlier this year.  We stayed at one of the Michaela Beach houses which was ideal and yes, with terrific views.  Loved the town, especially the harbour.  A delightful place to eat and great to watch the local fishermen at work.  The best food we have ever had in Greece.  It made a change for us to be on holiday watching the island come alive for the season as opposed to our usual holidays later in the year when everything is closing around us.

I am glad that we found your website and will certainly return when we want a similar break again.

In fact, they are the best apartments we think that we have ever stayed in. In addition, the transfer arrangements worked like clockwork - many thanks for everything. My name is Dean Burrows, and my family and I have recently returned from a superb two week stay at Michaela Beach House, Molyvos, Lesvos. This was our third visit to Molyvos in the last 5 years and the accomodation on this occasion was second to none. Michaela Beach Houses prove the image of Greek accomodation needs an overhaul - yes you can now have effective air conditioning, comforable beds, a family sized fridge (and even a freezer, the first I've ever seen in holiday rooms), a fitted and equiped kitchen that many homes in the UK would be envious of, i could go on. In fact the only problem was that with the glorious weather and stunning location, we didn't really spend much time there, but at the end of each busy day and night it was a pleasure to return to. If you are able to, please pass on my thanks to all at Spirit of Greece, and those at Molyvos who maintained the property in such exceptional standards. We love Molyvos and will undoubtably return many more times, and I now know where we'll be staying. Although, if this is the standard of accomodation you provide, I'll be checking the rest of your website for other destinations.

The Allen family must have arrived at the Michaela Beach apartments as the Burrows left. Our experience there is exactly as Mr Burrows describes, so he has saved me a lot of typing. Great accommodation, superb location. We've stayed all over, from Portugal thru to Turkey, and without a doubt the Michaela apartments are the best ever. As for the fridge, if it had been a bit smaller I'd have brought it home. It's better than mine. Very helpful and friendly people at the Alonia (hi, Vangelis) and Molyvos is the most attractive place to visit. Great atmosphere. But well worth going to Petra, too, where there's more sand and lots of shops huddled together under the church on the rock. We'll be back. Thanks to Spirit of Greece.

Kaloni Beach Villas, Lesvos

Hi everyone

We stayed at Kaloni Beach Villas from 30th April-15th May 09. When we arrived Michael was there to greet us and show us around the villa.It was great,as soon as we walked in there was a welcome basket which was ideal as we arrived at 5pm and obviously hadn't had time to visit the shops at that point.

We were pleasantly surprised as the pictures on the website did not do justice to the villa,as it was even better than we expected.The villa was spotlessly clean and the gardens,the pool and the surrounding landscape were absolutely beautiful.

Michael took his time to explain everything about the villa and also gave us lots of useful knowledge about the village,which was only a 5 minute walk away. Throughout our stay we were made to feel really welcome by all the Greek people of Skala Kaloni who were very hospitable,friendly and trusting.

We would thoroughly recommend Kaloni Beach Villas for anyone who wanted a beautiful place to stay in peaceful and unspoilt surroundings and who wanted to stay in a village still true to it's traditional Greek heritage.

We both hope to go back next year and spend two more wonderful weeks at Kaloni Beach Villas. We would just like to say a big thankyou to Michael and all his wonderful staff for making our stay a truly happy and memorable two weeks.

August 9 - 23 Skala Kalloni Villa. Lin, Alan, Ellie Butler and Meg Hickman - Just to let you know that we had a fabulous 2 week stay at the villa. Everything about it, location, decor, facilities, maintainance etc was excellent. The owner, Michael, is a gem, nothing is too much trouble for him and he helped us in many ways. His team kept the grounds and the villa in great condition. Before we went I was a little concerned that they could be a lack of privacy if the villas were too close together, but I need not have worried. No one is overlooked and we certainly were not affected by noise or anything else from the other properties. The village centre is a leisurely stroll along the beach. We ate at many of the tavernas and loved them all! The village/resort centre is just right - not overly commercialised but had everything we needed. We loved the fact that the only music we heard playing was typically greek. The holiday was a little tame for my 17 year old daughter and her friend, although they enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, but for my husband and me it was just perfect - Great accomodation, private pool and surroundings, fab location and authentic greek tavernas for the evening. We were so chilled...... Us two will DEFINATELY be returning - promise! Oh, almost forgot to mention that we saw shooting stars regularly from our balcony! Romantic or what???

Had a wonderful hot week at the end of July at the Scala Kalloni Villas. Really smart accommodation with many really nice touches. Michael was around regularly so could advise us if we had any questions. Great location, so close to the tavernas on the front and the beach, but not affected by noise from others. Pool was very well maintained and essential in the heat. It changed colour at night with clever lighting, which was amazing! The air conditioning was essential. Would consider returning again, our girls (13 and 16) loved it too! Having a second bathroom was fantastic!

Arrived back yesterday from Lesvos after staying at Kaloni Beach Villas. It was a wonderful break and was, as it says, in every way delightful and restful in a lovely fishing village.

A fabulous place ,very friendly locals who all mix with you at the tavernas, plenty of choice to eat, great sardines and never anything too much trouble for them .The owner Michalis was extremely accommodating and helpful on our arrival. James and Lucy really enjoyed their own pool and the DVD player. We Will be going back again soon and it was a lovely family holiday.

Just wanted to say what a fab time we had in Lesvos. We can't wait to go back and my husband wants to buy a house there!! We had such a relaxing holiday and were totally charmed by both Lesvos and its people. Everyone was so friendly and its so refreshing to find somewhere that embraces tourism but doesn't let it take over and spoil the culture and environment. The villas in Skala Kaloni were perfect , clean, well maintained, well equipped and in a great location near to the beach and the harbour with so many lovely tavernas. The owner Michael was great and nothing was too much trouble. He was always around to keep and eye on things and the villas, gardens and pools were tended daily. (the only thing I would highlight is the spiral staircase is very "open" and it would be easy for an unattended young child to fall/hurt themselves - we had to watch our 3 year old like a hawk!) There was so much to see and do on the Island that a week just wasn't enough. Thanks again for finding such a lovely place for us.

We have just returned from the beautiful island of Kefalonia and on behalf of my wife and I thank you for a truly amazing standard of villa.

We have been staying in villas now for over ten years and with the family grown up, latterly we have been fortunate enough to go more than once a year, so why mention that? Well the purpose of my statement is to give any potential customers some background and confirmation that we were comparing your villa with probably a dozen or so villa's we have stayed in. Your villa is truly outstanding, the view was simply stunning and with all those little things like high quality furnishings, mosquito screens on all doors and windows, high security doors and windows that were double glazed and had multiple locks, proper BBQ equipment and brick built BBQ, a DVD and wide screen TV, and a large pool cleaned daily our stay was paradise itself.

I really enjoyed the driving on Kefalonia and especially the scenery and villages while driving from the main road to the villa.

I would be very interested to receive details of your villas in other countries and we will definitely be returning to Kefalonia.

Many thanks for organising a fantastic holiday at the Liakas Water Front Villas during the month of May.

I found the Island a very beautiful and peaceful place to while away the week being stress free. Found a lovely restaurant at the olive grove about 4.5 km from the villa which managed to get our custom every other day when we were not out touring the Island, the food was brilliant and very reasonably priced and good service.

Fantastic swimming pool which was tepid for the time of year but did not stop us swimming, always nice to see the pool cleaner every morning. Enjoyed the veranda where we eat breakfast every day and the welcome pack really catered for our initial needs.

What more can i say without writing your brochures

After staying in these villas last year we returned again this year. Another fantastic holiday and the villa's were superb. If you are going please visit the liakas apartments as the owners of the villas, own these too, and they let us spend our last day here as we had to vacate the villa at 10.00 am and our flight was not until 9.00pm. Alex and Maria made us feel really welcome and let us use an apartment to shower. Would highly recommend these villas for anyone who wants a well appointed, stress free holiday.

Antigoni Apartments, Paxos

Dear Sam,
Just to let you know we had a fabulous time on Paxos these last two weeks. The apartment was great - very simple but with stunning views and kept lovely and clean with such frequent visits from the maid. The owners were lovely, brought us fresh eggs! and everyone on the island was incredibly warm and welcoming, especially to Cam (who I'm afraid was more interested in chasing all the cats...). Lefcothea was a star - totally available and always smiling. We hired a boat from Panos for a few days which was great fun. Driving round the island was easy too and it was exceptionally pretty with all the olive trees. Otherwise it was just lots of swimming, eating, rest and relaxation....

HI , just wanted to say what a fantastic holiday we had on Paxos in August. We stayed in the Antigoni apartments in Loggos which were fairly basic but clean and the view from the balcony out to sea was lovely. The pool was great , I could hardly get my 8 year old sons out of it! Loggos itself was beautiful , friendly and unspoilt. It was only a 10 minute walk to Loggos from the apartments, maybe slightly longer on the way back after dinner as it is quite steep and unlit...pack a torch, but not high heels! Your agents in Loggos are brilliant, from the time Lefcothea met us at the airport to saying goodbye on our return to Corfu she was very friendly and helpful as was her husband Panos. My sons had fun playing football with Yannis (Lefcothea and Panos's son) and several of the local boys in the evenings. I would recommend both the trip around Paxos/Antipaxos and the sunset cruise which Panos and Lefcothea run. My sons both loved jumping off the boat at the Blue caves and snorkelling and Antipaxos has the bluest water ever.We also hired a small boat which was fun, to visit Gaios and Lakka which were nice but Loggos is definitely the prettiest. Would highly recommend Paxos ,thank you for a great holiday, we will defintely return!

Hi Tim,

We have just returned from our first trip to Paxos and were so sad to have to leave. We absolutely fell in love with the place. When Tassos the taxi driver drove us down the hill into Loggos we knew we had arrived somewhere really special. When he drove us out the hill on the other side we started to get worried that we would be stuck in the middle of nowhere, but we found the donkey steps down from Antigoni into the village and came to absolutely love our walks up and down the hill. We think it must have done wonders for our legs! It was great to return after a long day to the aparment and to see that tremendous view and to dive into the pool. I think the apartments offer great value for money - nothing luxurious by any means but spotlessly clean and in the most beautiful setting. I have travelled to a lot of Greek islands and have never come across one I loved so much. The people are so warm, gentle, and funny - true hospitality.

Recommendations: Boat hire - we loved hiring our little 15hp boat and scooting off to the different beaches - Monodendri being our favourite with B&G's taverna. Captain Nikos on the harbour front at Loggos is a gem. Levrehio beach just round the corner to the south of Loggos was a great beach to walk to and the taverna behind the beach owned by the ever-smiling Spiros served the best food we ate on the island.We were a group of 4 ladies but I couldn't think of anywhere more romantic to eat in the evenings under the lanterns amongst the olive trees.

Roxi bar - sitting on their back terrace watching the yachts bobbing in the water was something I got very used to.

Lefcothea - she is incredible. The funniest yet most efficient person. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her. We can't wait to return to Paxos - it is small but so beautifully formed.

Just returned from Paxos and wanted to let you know we had a fantastic holiday. We loved Paxos, the people are lovely, the food is great and the island is completely enchanting. We did not want to come home. We loved it so much that we plan to go again next year. The Antigoni Apartments worked really well for us (being in a group of two families), we were next to each other but crucially not on top of one another. I would really recommend these apartments to groups of friends or families. The pool there is absolutely lovely, one of the nicest I've used, clean and warm. Loggos is so pretty and a great place to eat in the evening. We also took the boat trip to the caves and Antipaxos which the children said was their best day, they loved diving off the boat, so I would really recommend that too. All in all, a great holiday, we're hooked!!! Lastly, a big thank you to you for all your help and patience answering our never ending questions and sorting everything out.

We had a lovely holiday, thankyou, made nicer by the personal touches of contact numbers for taxi at Corfu.. Jimi is lovely ..hotel staff at Atlantis so nice..everything easy.. Loved Paxos.. accommodation has awesome views..loved it... owners made us so welcome, gave us fresh eggs too.. only thing we would like to add is that the walk up and down the the village is fine for very fit folk, but too much for anyone with a back or knee problem.. .. I've had some disc trouble, and walk happily for miles on less angular routes..but that was a bit painful..so ourselves and our neighbours both hired cars and that made our holiday just great. we walked down the donkey steps..which took us ages to find mind you..and that was the same for the other couple .. anyway we got down to Loggos, met Pano and Lefcothea (she is one special lady..adore her!) said we wanted to hire a car..they had it there within half an hour. how superb is that? We had a power cut one night..called Lefcothea on her mobile.. it was fixed within 20mins. Personal service like that is from a bygone age..we thought.. Our neighbours gave up trying to find the donkey steps..called Lefcothea.. she drove up and walked with them to where they begin.. We met such great people on the island, had the best Greek food we ever ate ..wonderful experiences.. We LOVED our holiday. Thankyou so much.. we'd LOVE to go again!Cheers Sam!

A few words to thank you for a wonderful holiday in Loggos,Paxos. Its the first time in eighteen years that my husband and I had a holiday on our own (pre childen) and it was great. Loggos was quaint,unspoilt and beautiful. Having a cool beer on the harbour with a bowl of nuts in the early evening was just so relaxing. Paxos has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world and luckily we have seen a few. Loggos apartments were basic but spotless and the little lady greeted us with a smile and was there keeping an eye on the place always, the Retsina, water,orange,bread etc which was put in our apartment on arrival was a great touch and much appreciated. The Bakery fantastic,the restaurants wonderful, the harbour bars super, Captain Nikos charming.Paxos is a real Gem. Lefcothia is a lovely person, a bit mad me thinks but it all adds to the charm. Her husband organised a fantastic trip around the island and dropped us off at Anti Paxos for several hours, a great day again. And not to be missed. All the Greek people we met were great everyone was happy. We cant wait to go back next year and share the place with our children. Thanks to Tim who was extremely helpful as I made a bit of a mess with the booking originally.

We loved it, we really enjoyed the walk to the Monodendri beach and that became our fave beach, I left without getting the chance to say thanks to Lethkyotha (?) and Panos @ Paxos Thalassa travel so please would you pass on our thanks to them for me, we loved getting the boats out and just had the best time.. Nikolas House , Paxos

We returned from Loggos two weeks ago, staying at Nikolas House. What a fantastic find. I am seriously thinking of booking it - and possibly the next door Alkionis - next year and feel tempted to keep them secret but musn't be mean. Nikolas is fairly basic, but clean, spacious and with a terrific, mainly west facing terrace. Great for those leisurely sun-downers, after which all you have to do is roll down the steps and in three minutes you're on the harbour front. Couldn't be more convenient. It's also just high enough to be away from any noise from the village, actually hardly any apart from the resident cockerels!. The owners who live above were so helpful and we awoke to find fresh fruit, home made jam and flowers on the terrace. Any problems - and they were minor - were immediately and smilingly dealt with. A large kitchen gave us plenty of space to knock up greedy bowlfuls of Greek salad etc for lunch on the terrace which had just the right ratio of sun to shade. The only slight downer being the rear double bedroom which doesn't have any views, but the above advantages more than compensate for that. We were a party of five and it worked brilliantly.

Loggos itself is charming, about as Greek, but civilised as you can probably get. Can't think why we've never been before. We loved Spiros on the nearest beach, a ten minute stroll from Nikolas. One night, as we returned from dinner there, we heard some live music and found three middle-aged Greeks playing (and singing!) in the bar at the end of the harbour. They even managed a request from me of an old Greek hit which has to be forty years old.

Lefcothea, your agent, is a gem. Bit mad but so efficient, on the ball and with a wicked sense of humour. She happily took us to see two of your other villas and was also fantastic at sorting out some dire problems with our daughter's return flight. Woe betide anyone who gets in her way at Corfu airport! The boat trip around the island on her boat is a must as is a visit to Anti Paxos. The bluest of blue seas.

So - we shall return - but don't tell anyone... Efharisto para poli - that's meant to be 'thank you very much.'

As promised a bit of feedback about our stay at Villa Danai.  A beautiful villa in the most stunning position.  The views are truly beautiful from this villa, even on a grey morning!  The sunrise over the mountains on the mainland is wonderful to watch, especially when the shafts of sunlight fall on the water.  A lot of thought and care has gone into the design of the villa, to allow the guests to have these wonderful views. I would have no hesitation about recommending this villa, especially if someone wanted a truly peaceful and unspoilt location.   We thoroughly enjoyed all our time at the villa, and loved the position amidst the olive groves.  April is a lovely time to go, the flowers were wonderful, and everything was even greener than usual.   Will you be letting it out again next year at this time?  Can you give me first refusal please? I am sure I will be in touch again soon, as am quite sure I will not be able to resist visiting before the year is out, but imagine it will have to be in another property! Thanks for all your help.

It is in good condition and kept very clean by the maid (different cleaner to last year) also the pool is kept very clean by Panos. Also Lefcothea at the office in Loggos , Paxos Thalassa Travel,looked after us very well. On reporting that a kettle was faulty on the first day a new one was delivered to us personally by Yannis within a few hours. Just a note to thank you for a great holiday (Horto Beach Villa 1, last week). The villa is very nice and the transfers between Skiathos and Horto were superb - very smooth and well-organised. Getting there was excellent - the sea taxi was lovely after two hours in an airport lounge and three and a half on a plane.

We shall almost certainly be returning to the Pelion and we have been very pleased with Spirit of Greece so will very likely be in touch in the future.

We are back from Greece and would just like to say thankyou for arranging a very good holiday. Pelion was lovely and we arrived to a very pretty Horton in 37 degrees and blue sky. Horton is lovely and so was the weather - we took a boat trip to Trikeri island which was nice for lunch. It is unspoilt in that part of Pelion and was nice. The villa was good and the local tavernas were very good and we had a lovely week - when we next go to Greece we will certainly be in touch and would recommend Spirit of Greece to friends and family - Thankyou for all your very helpful advice.
