If you're looking for the simple life in a lovely Greek seaside village then look no further. These unpretentious studios have everything you need to sleep, wash and prepare basic meals but its their location that sets them apart.

The sixteen studios are split into two buildings which sit on top of a hill overlooking the bay of Katigiorgis in one direction and across the Aegean Sea to Skiathos in the other. Each studio has it's own balcony from which you can enjoy the stunning views.

If the three minute stroll to the beach seems just too much then instead you can laze  by the 10m x 5m freshwater pool furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas.

However, if you can muster up the energy you'll find the sandy beach just 150m away down a path from the studios.

Behind the beach the sleepy village offers a couple of good tavernas, a cafe and a minimarket but if you fancy firing up the barbecue, fresh fish can be bought from the fishing boats returning in the morning with their catch.

If you want to get away from the village, a fifteen minute walk along a coastal path takes you to a lovely secluded sandy beach set in a rocky cove surrounded by pines and deciduous trees.

Each studio has a double or two twin beds, shower room with W.C., television (Greek only) and a kitchenette with mini oven and fridge - nothing special but enough to get by but maybe cooking your own gourmet meals will have to wait.

As you've probably worked out, the Avra Studios and Katigiorgis are for people who love to do nothing but laze about with a book on the beach by day and relax with a drink and a meal in a traditional taverna on the waters edge at night - and yet be only a few minutes walk to their accommodation.

The Avra Studios have:

• 3 minute walk to beach (as the studios are on a hillside they are not suitable for those with walking difficulties)
